Cobblestone at Park Springs – Now 5 Star Atlanta Senior Health Care Center

Cobblestone is proud to announce:

Since our last Georgia State Survey, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has updated Cobblestone’s credentials and posted our health care facility as a Four-Star out of a Five-Star quality rating according to the CMS quality assurance system.

Our Atlanta senior health care center boasts on high marks for health inspection results, high staff to resident ratios, increasing expectations of quality measures, and outstanding fire safety inspection results. These outcomes are greatly beneficial to Park Springs residents and any patients that require our superb nursing care from the surrounding counties. Yet, another great reason to live at Park Springs!

It’s been an exciting year here at Cobblestone, beginning with our expansion of of our Atlanta Skilled Nursing Unit opening in June and  quickly filling to capacity by July.  All this while preparing for our State Regulatory Survey.

This year began a new survey process called QIS which stands for Quality Indicator Survey. This survey allows more intense scrutiny of our Medical Operations,quality of care given, medical record keeping and billing  services to our members.

During this time of intense scrutiny it was noted that other  Longterm Care Facilities were increasing in the number of deficiencies and levels of severity. The average number of deficiencies being 21. We at Cobblestone are proud to say that our number of deficiencies decreased from last year which were 7 to  this year having only 5 deficiencies of a minor level. Congratulations to our Cobblestone staff that work so hard everyday giving the highest quality of care so that we can meet and exceed these standards set before us.

Continuing Care Retirement Community Introduces Alzheimer’s Training

We are excited to announce that our Director of Nursing, Amy Medina, at the premier Atlanta Active Adult Community is introducing a new Alzheimer’s Training Program. All employees will begin training in June. The employees will be trained on various topics such as; Intro to Alzheimer’s disease, Commitment to Alzheimer’s disease, Wandering: Is it a Problem, Resisting Care: Putting Yourself in their Shoes and Agitation: Is it a Sign?

We strive to have the top Atlanta skilled nursing in our community. Our home care services and entire staff is licensed by the state, bonded and insured after passing strict screening processes. Another great aspect about our facility is that all of our doctors, clinics and skilled care are all Medicare certified.
