CLOSE Raymond Previto
Environmental Services Director

“The best part about working at Park Springs is becoming an important part of our members lives. They depend on me and all of the Park Springs staff to make their lives more enjoyable. Plus, I know I am part of something very special.”

As the Environmental Service Director, Raymond Previto is responsible for the management and delivery of housekeeping and laundry services to members.

Raymond joined Park Springs with 20 years experience in construction and 10 years experience in housekeeping in Health Care. “Fate lead me to the line of work I’m in. I fit because I know the importance of living in an organized, clean and sanitized environment,” he says.

He has been with Park Springs since its opening in July 2004. “I have been involved in the move-in process for every member in independent living,” adds Raymond. “I think our members by now know what I do, but what they probably don’t realize is how proud I am of what the staff does daily to see to their needs. Brian Thomas
Director of Operations Management
CLOSE Brian Thomas
Director of Operations Management

"It's my job to keep the vision in mind - the finished product and the quality expectations that go along with it - as we work through the minutiae of day-to-day construction. Keeping the team focused and productive is what I'm here for."

-Brian Thomas

As Vice President of Construction, Brian Thomas is the corporate liaison with contractors and subcontractors on Isakson Living communities. Currently, he oversees construction at Peachtree Hills Place, Isakson-Living's second residential community. The 23-plus acre campus will feature 274 residences including villas and single-family homes. The completed community will also provide a 61,000-square-foot clubhouse, a 15,000-square-foot fitness center with pools, and a health center for skilled nursing and memory care. The impressive project is located in Peachtree Hills, a popular area within Atlanta's legendary Buckhead neighborhood.

Demanding, high-visibility projects are nothing new for Brian, who joined Isakson Living following a number of years with the Atlanta office of Manhattan Construction Co. While there, he served as senior project manager on the New World of Coca-Cola, and on a 20-story luxury apartment building. Brian is a graduate of Georgia Tech with a degree in civil engineering.

Brian's duties at Isakson Living include oversight of all construction-related scheduling, budget, and safety functions. He has been actively involved in selection of the project's general contractor and primary subcontractors.

Along with selecting and managing these vendors, Brian oversees internal design and construction teams. And he is intimately involved in the design upgrade program for the community.

"The Coca-Cola project provided me with excellent experience in building a high-profile project with extremely high quality expectations." He says that coming from a contractor background gives him valuable perspective and a firm understanding of budgets and scheduling so essential to success.

But it's the communication - among both internal and external parties - that Brian says matters most to the success of a project. His approach is to remain realistic about expectations, and open and honest with everyone involved. Maintaining the focus on clearly stated, shared objectives is his primary goal.

Achieving this involves maintaining open channels of communication with Isakson Living decision-makers and extends to ensuring that every member of the field team is on board. "It's really a matter of making sure everybody knows what's going on and has the appropriate information to execute the tasks," he adds.

Brian has received numerous awards for his work, including from the U.S. Green Building Council. He and his wife Marie are the parents of two young children.

Lisa Kiely
Leisure Services Director
CLOSE Lisa Kiely
Leisure Services Director

"I have always gravitated toward older folks. When I was little I used to smile and wave at anyone who looked older and would say hello Grammy or Grampy. Then later, in my 20's my step grandmother went to a retirement community and when my step mother wasn't able to visit I would. One time, the aerobic instructor didn't show up so I taught the aerobic class. I kept going back and became the Activity Director and decided to get a minor in gerontology as a result."

Lisa Kiely is the Director of Leisure Services for Isakson Living's Park Springs, a Continuing Care Retirement Community. Kiely has been with Park Springs for eight years; in her current position she oversees transportation, valet services, the fitness center and Community Life Services for over 650 members in independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care. Lisa also serves as a Community Life Resource Consultant for Life Care Services, one of the nation's leading senior community management companies.

Prior to joining Park Springs, Kiely was Activities Director for four years with Lake Forest Good Samaritan Village and Wellness Director with the YMCA for ten years. In addition, Kiely teaches exercise classes and trains instructors for the YMCA and hosts wellness clinics and seminars. A graduate of Texas Woman's University, Kiely is a Certified Activities Director, Certified Group Fitness Instructor and Certified Personal Trainer and has taught aerobics since the early 80's.

Maricitia Hughes
Director of Interiors
CLOSE Maricitia Hughes
Director of Interiors

"Moving into a beautiful new home is exciting, and it's also a significant responsibility. It's our job to assist members as much as they'd like. We want them to feel confident that their home will be beautiful, high-performing and a joy for years to come."

-Maricita Hughes

Director of Interiors Maricita Hughes has been an integral part of the Isakson Living organization since 1984 when she joined the firm to design commercial and office building interiors. She has also provided construction management services for Isakson Living retail centers.

Since the firm entered the senior residential industry, Maricita's experience and skills have been in high demand. At Park Springs, Isakson Living's first community in Stone Mountain, Maricita contributed significantly to the design of floor plans, working closely with members to create spaces that reflected their dreams and desires.

As construction continued and members began to move in, she developed and led the process of interior selections. The goal was to give members diverse, high-quality options in flooring, cabinetry, colors and overall layout.

Maricita was similarly involved at Peachtree Hills Place, the firm's second community in Atlanta's Buckhead district. Maricita led the team that designed the clubhouse and health center, and the sales and design centers, where members can see furnished homes and choose personalized options.

"I was particularly engaged in designing kitchens and bathrooms at Peachtree Hills Place. We learned a great deal from members that we used to create elegant, livable spaces," says Maricita. Among innovations she helped develop are bathrooms that combine resort-style size and luxury with extraordinary practicality and accommodation.

As the liaison between members and the Isakson Living construction team, Maricita and her colleagues begin working as long as a year before construction to help customize layouts and select options. "We help bring practicality to the process," she explains. "Many members who have lived in their homes for decades often anticipate recreating the same interiors in their new Isakson Living homes. We help them see what will work from the viewpoint of design and function." In a series of three meetings, members have the opportunity to select options and literally map out the interiors of their new homes.

An Atlanta native who lived abroad for many years, Maricita is a graduate of the Georgia Tech School of Architecture. Before joining Isakson Living in 1984, she worked with the Gary B. Coursey architecture firm. Maricita and Shawn Hughes are the parents of 10-year-old Chase.

Sharing her passion for Park Springs is a daily joy for Sally Hutson.  A native of the Atlanta metro, Sally has held a number of positions with Isakson Living since she joined the company in 1987.

"As a residency counselor, my goal is to listen to prospective Members and learn about their needs and interests," Sally explains.  The next step is to offer insight into options and make recommendations that best match what they’re looking for.

"Among the biggest concerns we hear are downsizing and moving.  We're prepared to help with excellent services and resources to achieve a really painless transition."

Sally's interest in assisting older adults with residential options originated with her own parents.  In helping them she discovered the importance of clear, honest communication and a positive attitude.
