It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

We've dropped the price on select Golf View Villas!

For the first time, Park Springs is offering a limited-time price reduction on homes in one of our most popular neighborhoods. Our 10% reduction on select Golf View Villas is being offered through December 31, 2011.

“We’ve had a great response to this historic incentive,” says Andy Isakson, managing partner of Isakson Living. “The economic decline has hit many prospective Members and we wanted to find a way to help.”

According to Andy new Members who take advantage of this offer can expect savings between $28,000 and $44,000 depending on the home.  Elegant, all-new Golf View Villas offer a view of the Stone Mountain golf course and undisturbed forest.

Something special
Golf View Villas feature beautiful open floor plans, designer kitchens, the latest in safety and accessibility and underground parking.

But beyond the list of features, there’s something special about the neighborhood.  Members rave about the sense of community.  And they love the privacy of the setting, secure in the knowledge that great dining, fitness, social activities and health care are minutes away.

“In addition to this price drop, new Members can also take advantage of our comprehensive moving services,” says Andy. Park Springs specialists will help you pack, move and unpack. “We’ll even create a personalized space plan to accommodate your furnishings and artwork,” he adds.
Make “check out a secure future at Park Springs” one or your New Year’s resolutions.  Remember, this special offer applies only to select Golf View Villas. Reservation required by December 31 and move-in by March 31.

Peace of Mind: It's What Sets Park Springs Apart

More lifestyle…fewer surprises

“Uh-oh, now what?!”  Every homeowner knows that sinking feeling when another appliance breaks down or another expensive repair is needed. There comes a point where the hassles of traditional home ownership outweigh the joys.

Park Springs offers the perfect compromise. Members live in spacious, independent homes, villas or cottages, while we handle all landscaping, repairs and maintenance. That means more time to enjoy fitness, the arts, fine dining and great friends in an award-winning community.

If health needs arise, our onsite Medicare-certified health center provides excellent primary care, rehab, skilled nursing and memory care. It’s yet another layer of security Members and their families can rely on.

Why wait?
Between the expensive upkeep and the stagnant real estate market, sitting around and waiting for the economy to improve doesn’t make much sense.

Not when you can invest in an active, secure future at Park Springs.

If you’ve been unable to sell your home, our Vintage Home Program (VHP) provides logistical and financial support.  VHP specialists help you choose a realtor, price the home, prepare it for showing and keep it looking good while it’s on the market.

VPP participants may pay only a portion of the refundable entrance fee, with the balance due when the home sells.

So instead of waiting for an offer, you can start enjoying the incomparable Park Springs lifestyle.

Make 2012 the year of Park Springs!
We know it’s tough to leave a home you’ve loved and cared for.  But Members tell us they only wish they’d done it sooner.

You and Your Grandteens

Celebrate their growth… be there when they need you

Remember those difficult years when your teenage children clamored for independence and rebelled against authority – including yours?

Many grandparents of teens are discovering a smoother ride the second time around.  Because they are not on the front lines of parenting, Nana and Pop can enjoy this stage and even help adolescents through the tough times.

Grandparents who reach out are often rewarded with satisfying relationships with their “grandteens” who value their wisdom and experience.

A few tips for getting the most out of the grandteen bond:

Share and listen. Let the parents worry about curfews and piercings. Listen to the kids’ concerns and serve as a sounding board without judging. Share stories based on your own experiences as a young person whose life was less digital, but maybe not so different from theirs.

Don’t take sides. Avoid getting involved in the parent wars. Instead, find a special way to spend time together like working in your garden or tacking an online family history. Maybe it’s as simple as a monthly lunch at your grandteen’s favorite fast-food restaurant.

Keep the communication channels open. Let the teen know that you are there for him or her.  Maybe that means learning how to text or spending more time on email. Meet them on their own level. And when they reach out, be responsive.

Support their success. Whether it’s an academic prize, a sports win or an award for community service, show your support for your grandteen’s accomplishments. Write a letter – kids barely know what they are – or enjoy a celebratory coffee at Starbucks.

When you help grandkids through their teen years by being present, loving and nonjudgmental, you just may reap benefits to last a lifetime.
